Thomas Strakosha

Thomas Strakosha, born on March nineteenth, nineteen ninety-five, is a distinguished professional footballer who currently serves as the goalkeeper for AEK Athens in the Super League Greece and the Albania national team.

His journey in football began in Athens, where he first honed his skills at APOEL in Cyprus, influenced by his father, Foto, who was a goalkeeping coach there. Strakosha's career took a significant turn when he joined Panionios, and in two thousand twelve, he signed with Lazio. During his time at Lazio, he made over two hundred appearances and celebrated victories in the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana on two occasions.

After a brief two-year stint at Brentford, where he played six matches across all competitions, Strakosha made a pivotal move to AEK Athens in two thousand twenty-three, establishing himself as the club's first-choice goalkeeper.

On the international stage, Strakosha has represented Albania at both under-19 and under-21 levels before making his senior debut in two thousand seventeen. He was also part of the squad that successfully qualified for and competed in UEFA Euro twenty twenty-four.
