Thurston Moore

Thurston Moore, born on July 25, 1958, is an influential American musician renowned for his multifaceted talents as a guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He gained prominence as a key member of the iconic rock band Sonic Youth, which played a pivotal role in shaping the alternative music scene. Beyond his work with the band, Moore has engaged in numerous solo and collaborative projects, showcasing his versatility across various musical genres.

In addition to his musical endeavors, Moore is the founder of the Ecstatic Peace! record label, which has been instrumental in promoting innovative sounds and artists. In 2012, Moore ventured into new territory by forming the band Chelsea Light Moving. The group released their self-titled debut album on March 5, 2013, further expanding Moore's artistic repertoire. Although Chelsea Light Moving disbanded in 2015 after just one studio album, Moore continues to create music through his solo projects and collaborations with other artists.
