Ti-Grace Atkinson

Ti-Grace Atkinson, born on November ninth, nineteen thirty-eight, is a prominent writer, women's rights activist, philosopher, and art critic. Her journey into activism began in the late nineteen sixties when she presided over the New York chapter of a feminist organization from nineteen sixty-seven to nineteen sixty-eight. However, her disillusionment with the group led her to establish The Feminists, a collective she later departed from due to internal conflicts.

Throughout her career, Atkinson was a member of the Daughters of Bilitis, advocating for political lesbianism and challenging societal norms surrounding gender and sexuality. Her contributions to feminist discourse were significant, as she sought to elevate the voices of women and promote radical feminist ideals.

Despite her influential role in the feminist movement, Atkinson has remained largely inactive since the nineteen seventies. However, she made a notable return in two thousand thirteen, co-authoring an open statement that expressed radical feminists' concerns regarding the perceived silencing of discussions around the increasingly popular concept of gender.
