Tia Hellebaut

Tia Hellebaut, born on February sixteenth, nineteen seventy-eight, is a distinguished former Belgian track and field athlete renowned for her exceptional prowess in the high jump. Initially embarking on her athletic journey in the heptathlon, she later honed her skills to specialize in the high jump, where she achieved remarkable heights, clearing two point zero five metres both indoors and outdoors.

Her athletic career reached a pinnacle in two thousand eight when she claimed the Olympic gold medal in the high jump, solidifying her status as one of the elite athletes in her discipline. Prior to her Olympic triumph, Hellebaut showcased her talent on the European stage, securing the title of European Champion in two thousand six and the European Indoor Champion in two thousand seven.

In addition to her high jump accolades, she excelled in the pentathlon, winning the gold medal at the two thousand eight IAAF World Indoor Championships.
