Tiago Mendes

Tiago Cardoso Mendes, known simply as Tiago, was born on May 2, 1981, in Portugal. He is a former professional footballer who made his mark as a talented midfielder. Over the course of his career, Tiago showcased his skills in five of Europe's major leagues, including Portugal, England, France, Italy, and Spain.

One of the highlights of Tiago's career was his eight-season tenure with Atlético Madrid, where he became a key player and contributed to the team's success. During his time with the club, he helped secure five major titles, including the prestigious La Liga in the 2013–14 season and the Europa League in 2012.

On the international stage, Tiago represented Portugal on sixty-six occasions, participating in two World Cups and the Euro 2004 tournament. His contributions to the national team solidified his status as a prominent figure in Portuguese football.
