Tika Sumpter, born on June twentieth, nineteen eighty, is a multifaceted American actress and producer known for her dynamic presence in both film and television. She began her career as the host of the dating show Best Friend's Date, which set the stage for her entry into the world of acting.

From two thousand five to two thousand ten, Sumpter captivated audiences with her role in the daytime soap opera One Life to Live. Her film debut came in two thousand ten with Stomp the Yard: Homecoming, followed by notable supporting roles in films such as What's Your Number? in two thousand eleven, Sparkle in two thousand twelve, and A Madea Christmas in two thousand thirteen.
