Tim D. White

Tim D. White, born on August 24, 1950, is a distinguished American paleoanthropologist and a Professor of Integrative Biology at the University of California, Berkeley. White is perhaps best known for his pivotal role in the discovery of Ardi, the type specimen of Ardipithecus ramidus, which dates back four point four million years. Before his work on Ardi, White made notable contributions to the study of Australopithecus afarensis, particularly through his collaboration with Donald Johanson on the famous fossil known as Lucy.
