Tim Lambesis, born on November twenty-first, nineteen eighty, is a Greek-American singer, songwriter, and record producer, renowned for his role as the founding member and lead vocalist of the metalcore band As I Lay Dying. His musical journey has been marked by both remarkable achievements and significant challenges.

In two thousand thirteen, Lambesis faced legal troubles when he was arrested for attempting to hire an undercover police officer to murder his wife. He pled guilty the following year and was sentenced to serve six years in prison. After his release on parole in December two thousand sixteen, he rejoined the music scene with renewed vigor.

Since his return, Lambesis has navigated through two different lineups of As I Lay Dying, releasing the albums Shaped by Fire and Through Storms Ahead in two thousand nineteen and twenty twenty-four, respectively. His creative endeavors also include a solo thrash metal project, Austrian Death Machine, which pays tribute to actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, showcasing his versatility by performing all the instruments himself.

Additionally, he formed a death metal band called Pyrithion and previously played guitar for Society's Finest and Point of Recognition. Beyond his musical contributions, Lambesis has also served as a judge for the eighth and tenth annual Independent Music Awards, demonstrating his commitment to supporting independent artists in their careers.
