Timo Werner

Timo Werner, born on March 6, 1996, is a distinguished German professional footballer who currently plays as a forward for Major League Soccer club San Jose Earthquakes. His journey in senior club football began in 2013 with VfB Stuttgart, where he made history as the club's youngest debutant and goalscorer.

In 2016, at the age of twenty, Werner transferred to RB Leipzig for a then club record fee of ten million euros. During his time with Leipzig, he achieved remarkable milestones, becoming the youngest player to reach both 150 and 200 appearances in the Bundesliga. His prowess on the field was evident as he finished as the league's second highest goalscorer in the 2019–20 season and ultimately became Leipzig's all-time top goalscorer.

Werner's career took a significant turn in 2020 when he signed with Chelsea for a reported fee of fifty million euros. In his inaugural season with the club, he celebrated victory in the UEFA Champions League. After a successful stint, he made a return to Leipzig in August 2022 for a fee of twenty-five point three million pounds.
