Tinashe, born on February sixth, nineteen ninety-three, in Lexington, Kentucky, is a multifaceted American talent known for her work as a singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress. Relocating to Pasadena, California, during her childhood, she began her journey in the entertainment industry, showcasing her skills in various roles.

Her early career included a notable motion-capture performance in the animated film The Polar Express in two thousand four, followed by her portrayal of Robin Wheeler in the Cartoon Network series Out of Jimmy's Head from two thousand seven to two thousand eight. Tinashe also made a mark with a recurring role in the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men between two thousand eight and two thousand nine. From two thousand seven to two thousand eleven, she was part of the girl group the Stunners, which laid the groundwork for her solo career.

In two thousand twelve, Tinashe released her first mixtapes, In Case We Die and Reverie, followed by Black Water in two thousand thirteen.
