Tire le coyote

Tire le coyote, the artistic persona of Benoît Pinette, was born in 1981 in Sherbrooke, Quebec. This Canadian folk-rock singer-songwriter has made a significant mark in the music scene, particularly noted for his nomination for the Juno Award for Francophone Album of the Year in 2019.

Pinette's musical journey began with the band Fono Jône, which showcased their talent at prestigious festivals like Francouvertes and Francofolies de Montréal. Although the band disbanded before releasing any recordings, it laid the groundwork for his solo career, which took off with the release of his debut EP in two thousand nine.

His discography includes the full-length album Le Fleuve en huile, released in two thousand eleven, followed by Mitan in two thousand thirteen and Panorama in two thousand fifteen. Each album has contributed to his growing reputation as a talented songwriter.

In two thousand seventeen, he released his fourth album, Désherbage, which not only garnered a Juno Award nomination but also earned him multiple nominations at the Prix Félix and the Canadian Folk Music Awards, highlighting his prowess as a songwriter and performer.
