Toby Ng, a distinguished Canadian badminton player and coach, was born on October eighth, nineteen eighty-five, in Vancouver, British Columbia. With a rich cultural heritage, his father hails from Hong Kong while his mother is from Macau. Ng's journey in badminton began at the tender age of six at the Kensington Community Centre, where he quickly developed a passion for the sport.
His competitive spirit led him to represent Canada at the 2012 Summer Olympics, where he showcased his skills in the mixed doubles event alongside his partner, Grace Gao. This remarkable achievement not only highlighted his talent but also his dedication to the sport.
In addition to his own accomplishments, Toby comes from a family of athletes; his younger brother, Derrick Ng, is also recognized as an elite level badminton player. Since two thousand twenty, Toby has transitioned into coaching, where he now trains advanced to professional level athletes at the Bellevue Badminton Club, sharing his expertise and passion for badminton with the next generation.
