Tokugawa Mitsukuni

Tokugawa Mitsukuni, born on July eleventh, sixteen twenty-eight, was a prominent figure in the early Edo period of Japan. As a samurai and politician, he played a significant role in shaping the political landscape of his time. Mitsukuni was the third son of Tokugawa Yorifusa, who was the eleventh son of the legendary Tokugawa Ieyasu, the founder of the Tokugawa shogunate.

Following in his father's footsteps, Mitsukuni succeeded Yorifusa as the second daimyo of the Mito Domain.
