Tom Neal

Thomas Carroll Neal Jr., born on January 28, 1914, was a multifaceted American talent known for his work as a stage and television actor, as well as an amateur boxer. His early years in the boxing ring, from 1932 to 1934, saw him engage in numerous bouts, showcasing his athletic prowess before transitioning to the world of acting.

Neal gained significant recognition for his leading role in the critically acclaimed film 'Detour,' which solidified his place in cinematic history. His personal life, however, often overshadowed his professional achievements, particularly his highly publicized affair with actress Barbara Payton, which captivated the media and the public alike.
