Tomáš Vokoun

Tomáš Vokoun, born on July second, nineteen seventy-six, is a distinguished former professional ice hockey goaltender from the Czech Republic. His career in the National Hockey League spanned from nineteen ninety-seven to two thousand thirteen, during which he became well-known for his time with the Nashville Predators.

Vokoun was selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the ninth round of the nineteen ninety-four NHL entry draft, being the two hundred twenty-sixth overall pick. Although he played only one game for the Canadiens, he went on to have a successful career with several teams, including the Florida Panthers, Washington Capitals, and Pittsburgh Penguins.

On the international stage, Vokoun represented the Czech national team at numerous tournaments. He showcased his skills at the Winter Olympics in two thousand six and two thousand ten, where he contributed to the team's success in winning a bronze medal in two thousand six. Additionally, he earned gold medals at the World Championships in two thousand five and two thousand ten, solidifying his legacy in the sport.
