Tommy Stinson, born on October sixth, nineteen sixty-six, is a celebrated American rock musician renowned for his dynamic contributions as a bassist and guitarist. He first gained widespread recognition in the 1980s as the bass guitarist for The Replacements, a band that has been hailed as one of the quintessential American alternative rock groups.
Following the breakup of The Replacements in nineteen ninety-one, Stinson embarked on a new musical journey by forming Bash & Pop, where he took on the roles of lead vocalist, guitarist, and frontman. His versatility shone through in the mid-1990s when he served as the singer and guitarist for the rock band Perfect, before making a significant move to join the hard rock giants Guns N' Roses in nineteen ninety-eight.
In two thousand four, Stinson released his debut solo album, Village Gorilla Head, marking a new chapter in his career. He later collaborated with Soul Asylum, contributing to their album The Silver Lining and touring with the band in two thousand six. Stinson became a permanent member of Soul Asylum until two thousand eleven, during which he released his second solo album, the critically acclaimed One Man Mutiny, under his own label, Done To Death Music.
In two thousand fourteen, Stinson parted ways with Guns N' Roses following the return of original bassist Duff McKagan. However, he continued to evolve as an artist, reuniting Bash & Pop in two thousand sixteen and releasing a new album titled Anything Could Happen in two thousand seventeen.
