Ton Koopman

Ton Koopman, born on October second, nineteen forty-four, is a distinguished Dutch conductor, organist, harpsichordist, and musicologist. He is best known for founding and directing the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra & Choir, a pivotal institution in the realm of early music.

In addition to his conducting and performance career, Koopman is a respected professor at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and the University of Leiden. His contributions to music education have inspired countless students and musicians alike.
