Her impressive track record includes multiple gold medals at the World Judo Championships, where she triumphed in two thousand three, two thousand five, two thousand seven, two thousand nine, and two thousand eleven, alongside a bronze medal in two thousand one.

However, her career faced a significant challenge when, on May tenth, two thousand ten, she was banned for two years by the International Judo Federation due to a doping violation involving Clenbuterol. This led to the forfeiture of her gold medal from the two thousand nine World Championships.
