Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Tony Clement

Tony Clement, born on January twenty-seventh, nineteen sixty-one, is a notable Canadian lawyer, politician, and businessperson. He has had a distinguished career in both federal and provincial governments, serving as a Member of Parliament for Parry Sound-Muskoka and holding various cabinet positions in the Conservative Party under Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

Before his tenure in federal politics, Clement was an Ontario Member of Provincial Parliament, representing Brampton South and later Brampton West—Mississauga. He was a cabinet minister in the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario, where he notably served as Minister of Health and Long-Term Care under Premiers Mike Harris and Ernie Eves.

In two thousand three, Clement sought the leadership of the newly formed Conservative Party of Canada but was defeated by Stephen Harper. He successfully won the Parry Sound-Muskoka seat in the two thousand six federal election, defeating incumbent Liberal cabinet minister Andy Mitchell. Following this victory, he was appointed Minister of Health and Minister for FedNor, later taking on the role of President of the Treasury Board.

Despite the Conservative Party's defeat in the two thousand fifteen election, Clement was re-elected. He announced his second leadership bid for the Conservative Party on July twelfth, two thousand sixteen, but withdrew from the race on October thirteenth, two thousand sixteen. His political career came to an abrupt end when he resigned on November seventh, two thousand eighteen, at the request of Conservative leader Andrew Scheer due to a sexting scandal.
