Tony Nardi

Tony Nardi is a distinguished Italian-Canadian actor, playwright, and theatre director, who has made a significant impact in the performing arts scene in Toronto. Fluent in four languages, he has showcased his versatility by participating in productions across French, Italian, and English, amassing an impressive portfolio of over sixty plays and seventy films and television series.

His remarkable talent has earned him two Genie Awards for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role, recognizing his outstanding work in 'The Saracen Woman,' which he co-wrote, and 'My Father's Angel.' In addition to these accolades, he has received three further nominations, underscoring his consistent excellence in acting.

Nardi's contributions to theatre extend beyond acting; he co-created 'Two Letters' (Letter One and Letter Two), which garnered a Dora Award nomination for Outstanding New Play in two thousand seven. His playwriting prowess was further acknowledged in two thousand eight when he received a long list nomination for the Siminovitch Prize in Theatre for 'Letter Two.'
