Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Tory Lanez

Daystar Shemuel Shua Peterson, known to the world as Tory Lanez, was born on July 27, 1992, in Canada. A multifaceted artist, he has made a significant mark in the music industry as a singer, rapper, songwriter, and record producer. Tory's journey began when he was discovered by Sean Kingston, leading to his first major recognition with the mixtape 'Conflicts of My Soul: The 416 Story,' released in August 2013.

In 2015, Lanez took a pivotal step in his career by signing with Benny Blanco's Mad Love Records, an imprint of Interscope Records. His debut studio album, 'I Told You,' released in 2016, showcased his exploration of alternative R&B and achieved commercial success. The album's lead singles, 'Say It' and 'Luv,' reached impressive positions on the US Billboard Hot 100, peaking at numbers twenty-three and nineteen, respectively.

Continuing to evolve as an artist, Lanez released two more albums in 2018, 'Memories Don't Die' and 'Love Me Now?,' both of which delved deeper into hip-hop and enjoyed commercial success despite receiving mixed reviews. 'Memories Don't Die' marked a significant milestone as it became his first album to top the Canadian Albums Chart, while 'Love Me Now?' featured the double platinum-certified single 'Talk to Me' alongside Rich the Kid.

His fourth album, 'Chixtape 5,' released in 2019, peaked at number two on the US Billboard 200, followed by 'Daystar' in 2020, which reached number ten. Tory's musical journey continued with the release of 'Alone at Prom' in 2021 and 'Sorry 4 What' in 2022, until his incarceration. His eighth album, 'Peterson,' is set to release in 2025 and has already entered the Billboard 200 at number twenty-five.

However, Tory Lanez's career faced a significant setback when he was sentenced to ten years in prison on August 8, 2023, after being convicted of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020. He was found guilty of first-degree assault with a firearm, discharge of a firearm with gross negligence, and possessing a concealed firearm in a vehicle.
