Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Tracey Emin

Tracey Emin, born on July third, nineteen sixty-three, is a prominent English artist celebrated for her deeply autobiographical and confessional artwork. Emin's creative repertoire spans a multitude of media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, film, photography, neon text, and sewn appliqué. Once regarded as the 'enfant terrible' of the Young British Artists movement in the nineteen eighties, she was honored with the title of Royal Academician in two thousand sixteen.

In nineteen ninety-seven, Emin's provocative piece, Everyone I Have Ever Slept With 1963–1995, was showcased at Charles Saatchi's Sensation exhibition at the Royal Academy in London. This tent, appliquéd with the names of everyone she had ever slept with, garnered significant media attention, particularly when Emin appeared intoxicated during a live television discussion on the program The Death of Painting.

The following year marked a significant milestone in Emin's career as she held her first solo exhibition in the United States at Lehmann Maupin Gallery, titled Every Part of Me's Bleeding. Later in nineteen ninety-nine, she was nominated for the Turner Prize for her installation My Bed, which featured her unmade, dirty bed, complete with used condoms and blood-stained underwear, reflecting a tumultuous emotional period.

Emin is also a respected speaker and panelist, having lectured at prestigious institutions such as the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Sydney, the Royal Academy of Arts, and Tate Britain. In December two thousand eleven, she was appointed Professor of Drawing at the Royal Academy, becoming one of the first two female professors since its inception in seventeen sixty-eight. Emin currently resides in Margate, where she supports aspiring artists through the TKE Studios.
