Trần Trọng Kim

Trần Trọng Kim, born in 1883, was a prominent Vietnamese scholar and politician whose contributions to the nation were significant during a tumultuous period in history. He is best remembered for his role as the Prime Minister of the short-lived Empire of Vietnam, a state that emerged in 1945 with the backing of Imperial Japan, following Japan's takeover of Vietnam from Vichy France during the latter stages of World War II.

As a historian and pedagogue, Trần Trọng Kim dedicated his life to the study and promotion of Vietnamese culture and history. His scholarly work laid the groundwork for future generations to understand the complexities of Vietnam's past and its struggle for independence.
