Trevor Mack

Trevor Mack, born on June twenty-eighth, nineteen ninety-two, is a distinguished Tsilhqot'in Canadian filmmaker, writer, and philosopher. His multifaceted career also includes a notable stint as a former extreme sports athlete, competing in the Canadian tour of the Red Bull Crashed Ice World Championships from two thousand eleven to two thousand fifteen.

Best known for his groundbreaking work in film, Mack made history with his debut feature-length film, Portraits from a Fire. This significant work premiered at the twenty twenty-one Atlantic International Film Festival, marking it as the first narrative feature film ever written and directed by a Tsilhqot'in filmmaker. In addition to this, he has directed several short films, including The Blanketing, Clouds of Autumn, and In the Valley of Wild Horses.

In twenty twenty-five, Trevor and his wife Valeria Mack co-founded the NENQAYNI Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting indigenous food sovereignty and enhancing indigenous land stewardship through international cultural exchange trips. This initiative reflects Mack's commitment to his community and cultural heritage.
