Trevor Pinnock

Trevor Pinnock, born on December sixteenth, nineteen forty-six, is a distinguished British harpsichordist and conductor renowned for his significant contributions to the world of classical music. He is particularly celebrated for his pivotal role in founding The English Concert, a period-performance orchestra that he directed from the keyboard for over thirty years, specializing in baroque and classical repertoire.

In addition to his work with The English Concert, Pinnock has held the position of artistic director for Canada's National Arts Centre Orchestra and established The Classical Band in New York, further showcasing his versatility and commitment to music education and performance.

Since stepping down from The English Concert in two thousand three, Pinnock has continued to thrive as a conductor, collaborating with major orchestras and opera companies globally.
