Trey Parker

Trey Parker, born on October 19, 1969, is a multifaceted American animator, writer, producer, director, actor, and songwriter. He is widely recognized for co-creating the groundbreaking animated television series South Park, which has been captivating audiences since its debut in 1997. Alongside his creative partner Matt Stone, Parker has also made a significant mark in the world of theater with the acclaimed stage musical The Book of Mormon, which premiered in 2011.

From a young age, Parker exhibited a keen interest in film and music, which he further pursued during his high school years. His journey in the entertainment industry began at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he met Stone. The duo collaborated on various short films, culminating in Parker's feature-length musical Cannibal! The Musical, released in 1993.

After relocating to Los Angeles, Parker directed his second feature film, Orgazmo, in 1997. Shortly before its release, South Park made its debut on Comedy Central, quickly becoming a cultural phenomenon. Parker and Stone maintain full creative control over the series, which has expanded into music and video games. The film adaptation, South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut, released in 1999, received critical acclaim and a dedicated fanbase.

Parker's impressive body of work includes the satirical action film Team America: World Police, released in 2004, and the successful Broadway premiere of The Book of Mormon.
