Trương Tấn Sang

Trương Tấn Sang, born on January twenty-first, nineteen forty-nine, is a prominent Vietnamese politician who served as the eighth President of Vietnam from two thousand eleven to two thousand sixteen. His leadership positioned him among the top echelons of Vietnam's political landscape, alongside notable figures such as Prime Minister Nguyễn Tấn Dũng and Party General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng.

In July two thousand eleven, Trương Tấn Sang was elected as the state president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam by the National Assembly, following the retirement of his predecessor, Nguyễn Minh Triết. His ascent to this prestigious role was marked by his nomination at the eleventh National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, where he was confirmed in office on July twenty-fifth, two thousand eleven.

Before his presidency, Sang held significant positions within the Communist Party, including serving as the Communist Party secretary for Ho Chi Minh City from nineteen ninety-six to two thousand. He became a member of the Central Politburo in nineteen ninety-six and was promoted to the national party's number two position in October two thousand nine.
