Tsunku

Mitsuo Terada, known to the world as Tsunku, was born on October 29, 1968, in Japan. He is a multifaceted artist, recognized not only as a talented guitarist and singer-songwriter but also as a prominent record producer and actor. Tsunku first gained fame as the lead singer of the rock band Sharam Q, where his musical journey began to flourish.

As a prolific songwriter, Tsunku has made a significant impact on the Japanese music scene. He serves as the primary producer for the iconic girl group Morning Musume and has been instrumental in the success of various Hello! Project acts, including Coconuts Musume, Berryz Kobo, Cute, V-u-den, Aya Matsuura, and Maki Goto. His influence extends beyond these groups, as he has also produced music for artists like EE Jump and Sonim.

In addition to his work with musical acts, Tsunku has ventured into producing soundtracks for popular anime and video game series, such as Rhythm Heaven and ClassicaLoid. His remarkable contributions to the industry have led to total sales of singles exceeding thirty-seven point nine million copies, positioning him as the fifth best-selling lyricist in Japan.
