Tuilaʻepa Saʻilele Malielegaoi, born on April fourteenth, nineteen forty-five, is a prominent Samoan politician and economist, currently serving as the Leader of the Opposition in Samoa. He is a distinguished member of the Human Rights Protection Party (HRPP) and held the esteemed position of Prime Minister from nineteen ninety-eight until twenty twenty-one.

His political journey began in nineteen eighty-one when he won a by-election to represent the Lepā electorate. Tuilaʻepa quickly rose through the ranks, becoming deputy prime minister and minister of finance under Prime Minister Tofilau Eti Alesana.
