Dame Lesley Lawson, known to the world as Twiggy, was born on September nineteenth, nineteen forty-nine. She emerged as a cultural icon in England, particularly during the vibrant 'swinging sixties' in London. Renowned for her strikingly thin physique and androgynous look, Twiggy captivated audiences with her big eyes, long eyelashes, and short hair, quickly becoming a symbol of the era.

Her rise to fame was meteoric; in nineteen sixty-six, she was named 'The Face of 1966' by the Daily Express and was honored as British Woman of the Year. By nineteen sixty-seven, Twiggy had expanded her modeling career internationally, gracing the covers of prestigious magazines such as Vogue and The Tatler, and establishing herself as a global sensation.

Transitioning from modeling to acting, Twiggy found success on both screen and stage. Her performance in the film The Boy Friend, released in nineteen seventy-one, earned her two Golden Globe Awards.
