Tyga

Micheal Ray Stevenson, known to the world as Tyga, was born on November 19, 1989. He is an accomplished American rapper, singer, actor, and songwriter, who has made significant contributions to the music industry. Tyga's journey began with several independent releases, but it was in 2008 that he signed a pivotal recording contract with Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment, a subsidiary of Cash Money Records and Republic Records.

His major label debut, the album 'Careless World: Rise of the Last King,' released in 2012, marked a turning point in his career. The album peaked at number four on the Billboard 200 and received platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). It featured the hit single 'Rack City,' which reached the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100, alongside the top forty single 'Faded' featuring Lil Wayne.

Following this success, Tyga released 'Hotel California' in 2013, which received a mixed response from critics and fans alike. His collaboration with Chris Brown, 'Fan of a Fan: The Album,' released in 2015, also garnered attention. However, due to creative differences with Young Money, Tyga's fourth album, 'The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty,' was released independently and became his lowest-selling album at that time, with only five thousand album equivalent units sold in its first week.

Despite facing challenges, Tyga continued to evolve as an artist. His subsequent albums, 'BitchImTheShit2' in 2017 and 'Kyoto' in 2018, saw a period of stagnation. However, his single 'Taste,' featuring Offset, released in May 2018, marked a resurgence in his commercial success, peaking at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 and earning diamond certification from the RIAA. This single set the stage for his seventh album, 'Legendary,' released in 2019.
