Tyla Laura Seethal, known mononymously as Tyla, is a dynamic South African singer, songwriter, and dancer born on January 30, 2002. Hailing from the East Rand of Johannesburg, she has captivated audiences with her unique blend of pop and amapiano music, earning her the title of 'Queen of Popiano' from various publications.

Her rise to international fame began with the release of her 2023 single 'Water', which made history by becoming the first song by a South African solo artist to enter the US Billboard Hot 100 in fifty-five years. This groundbreaking track not only topped charts in her home country but also in the United Kingdom and the United States, solidifying her status as a global music sensation.

Tyla's impressive accolades include being the youngest African artist to win a Grammy Award, with two wins to her name.
