Tyrone Corbin, born on December thirty-first, nineteen sixty-two, is a distinguished American former professional basketball player and coach. With a career spanning sixteen seasons in the National Basketball Association, Corbin made a significant impact on the court before transitioning to coaching.
After his playing days, Corbin took on various coaching roles, beginning as an assistant coach for the Phoenix Suns. His expertise and leadership qualities led him to become the head coach of the Utah Jazz on February tenth, two thousand eleven, following the resignation of the legendary Jerry Sloan.
Corbin's coaching journey continued as he briefly served as the interim head coach for the Sacramento Kings during the two thousand fourteen to fifteen season, before being succeeded by George Karl. Most recently, he contributed his knowledge and experience as an assistant coach for the Charlotte Hornets.
