Tyus Edney

Tyus Dwayne Edney Sr., born on February 14, 1973, is a distinguished American basketball coach and former player, currently serving as an assistant coach for the Pepperdine Waves men's basketball team in the West Coast Conference. Standing at five feet ten inches, Edney made his mark as a point guard, showcasing his exceptional skills on the court.

Edney's collegiate career at UCLA from 1991 to 1995 was nothing short of remarkable. He played a pivotal role in leading the Bruins to the 1995 NCAA national championship, and his game-winning shot in the second round of the tournament has become one of the most iconic moments in NCAA history.

After his time at UCLA, Edney continued to excel internationally, earning recognition as a two-time All-EuroLeague First Team selection. He led Žalgiris Kaunas to victory in the 1999 EuroLeague, where he was honored as the EuroLeague Final Four MVP, further solidifying his legacy in the sport.
