Urška Žolnir

Urška Žolnir, born on October ninth, nineteen eighty-one, is a distinguished Slovenian judoka and a prominent figure in the world of sports. She has made a significant mark in judo, representing Slovenia with pride and excellence. As a member of the Judo Club Sankaku Celje, her dedication to the sport has been unwavering.

Žolnir's athletic prowess was showcased on the global stage when she clinched a bronze medal in the half-middleweight division at the two thousand four Summer Olympics. Her remarkable journey continued, culminating in a gold medal victory at the two thousand twelve Olympics, solidifying her status as the most successful judoka in Slovenian history.

In addition to her athletic achievements, Urška had the honor of being the Slovenian flagbearer during the Parade of Nations at the two thousand eight Summer Olympics, a testament to her leadership and representation of her country.
