Uwe Boll

Uwe Boll, born on June 22, 1965, is a notable German filmmaker recognized for his unique contributions to the film industry, particularly during the 2000s. He gained significant attention for his adaptations of popular video game franchises, which, despite their ambitious nature, were met with critical and commercial disappointment. His 2005 film, Alone in the Dark, has earned a notorious reputation as one of the worst films ever produced.

Throughout the 2010s, Boll shifted his focus to projects that were primarily released direct-to-video, continuing to explore his passion for filmmaking.
