Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Vajiralongkorn

Vajiralongkorn, born on July 28, 1952, is the current King of Thailand, known by his regnal name Rama X. He ascended to the throne in 2016, becoming the tenth monarch of the Chakri dynasty, which has ruled Thailand since 1782. As the only son of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) and Queen Sirikit, he was appointed crown prince at the young age of twenty in 1972.

Following the passing of his father on October 13, 2016, Vajiralongkorn chose to delay his formal accession ceremony to honor his father's memory. It was not until December 1, 2016, that he officially accepted the throne, making him the oldest individual to ascend to the Thai monarchy at sixty-four years old. The government subsequently declared that his reign began with his father's death.

The coronation of Vajiralongkorn took place from May 4 to May 6, 2019, marking a significant event in Thai history. Notably, he is recognized as the wealthiest monarch in the world, with an estimated net worth ranging between thirty billion and seventy billion US dollars, a testament to the extensive wealth accumulated by the Thai monarchy.
