Valentin Lebedev

Valentin Lebedev, born on April fourteenth, nineteen forty-two, is a distinguished former Soviet cosmonaut renowned for his remarkable contributions to space exploration. He completed two significant flights into space, with his most notable mission aboard the Space Station Salyut 7 alongside Anatoly Berezovoy in nineteen eighty-two. This mission, which lasted an impressive two hundred eleven days, earned a place in the Guinness Book of Records.

After his illustrious career as a cosmonaut, Lebedev shifted his focus to scientific endeavors. In nineteen eighty-nine, he dedicated himself to advancing scientific knowledge and research. By nineteen ninety-one, he established the Scientific Geoinformation Center of the Russian Academy of Science, where he continues to serve as the Director, guiding the center's mission and research initiatives.
