Valentina Vezzali

Valentina Vezzali, born on February 14, 1974, is a distinguished Italian politician and a retired Olympic and World Champion foil fencer. Renowned for her exceptional skills, she has secured six Olympic gold medals and holds the remarkable title of a 16-time World Champion in foil fencing. Vezzali's unparalleled achievements have solidified her reputation as one of the greatest women’s foilists in the history of the sport.

Throughout her illustrious fencing career, Vezzali made history by becoming one of only five athletes to win five medals in the same individual event at the Summer Olympic Games.
