Valerie Loker

Valerie Loker, born on May first, nineteen eighty, is a distinguished Canadian badminton player known for her remarkable achievements in the sport. She gained international recognition when she and her partner Mike Beres secured a silver medal in mixed doubles at the two thousand seven Pan American Games held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The duo faced a formidable challenge against the U.S. pair of Howard Bach and Eva Lee, ultimately finishing with scores of eighteen to twenty-one and seventeen to twenty-one.

In addition to her impressive medal haul, Loker is affiliated with Club Excellence Yonex Laval, located in Montreal, Quebec. Under the expert guidance of her coach Jean-Paul Girard, she has honed her skills and continues to be a prominent figure in the badminton community.

Loker's dedication to the sport led her to qualify for the mixed doubles event at the two thousand eight Summer Olympics in Beijing. She achieved this by ranking fifteenth and receiving a spot allocated by the Badminton World Federation. Competing alongside the seasoned three-time Olympian Beres, Loker faced the Thai pair of Sudket Prapakamol and Saralee Thungthongkam in the preliminary round, where they were unable to secure a victory, losing both games with a score of nine to twenty-one.
