Vallathol Narayana Menon, born on October sixteenth, eighteen seventy-eight, was a distinguished Malayalam poet, translator, and writer. He is celebrated as one of the triumvirate of modern Malayalam poetry, alongside the notable figures Asan and Ulloor. In nineteen thirteen, Vallathol was honored with the title of Mahakavi following the publication of his epic poem, Mahakavya Chitrayogam.
