Valtteri Bottas, born on August 28, 1989, in Nastola, Finland, is a distinguished Formula One driver currently competing for Cadillac. With a remarkable career spanning thirteen seasons, Bottas has secured ten Grand Prix victories and has twice been the runner-up in the World Drivers' Championship in 2019 and 2020 while racing for Mercedes.
His journey in motorsport began at the tender age of six when he started kart racing. After completing his studies in automotive engineering and fulfilling his mandatory military service, Bottas made his way through the ranks of junior formulae, clinching his first championship in the Formula Renault NEC in 2008. He also triumphed in the Formula Renault Eurocup, edging out Daniel Ricciardo by a mere three points, and showcased his talent by winning the Masters of Formula 3 consecutively in 2009 and 2010.
