Vanessa Nakate

Vanessa Nakate, born on November fifteenth, nineteen ninety-six, is a prominent Ugandan climate justice activist and philanthropist. She first gained international recognition in January two thousand nineteen when she initiated a solitary climate strike in Uganda, drawing attention to the urgent need for climate action.

As the founder of the Youth for Future Africa and the Rise Up Movement, Nakate has become a leading voice in the fight against climate change, particularly in relation to its impacts on African communities. Her advocacy work emphasizes the importance of renewable energy projects in Ugandan schools, aiming to create sustainable solutions for future generations.
