Vani Jairam

Vani Jairam, born on November thirtieth, nineteen forty-five, was a celebrated Indian playback singer and composer whose illustrious career began in nineteen seventy-one. Over the span of more than five decades, she lent her voice to over one thousand Indian films, recording an astounding twenty thousand songs. Her contributions extended beyond cinema, as she also recorded numerous devotional tracks and private albums, and performed in countless solo concerts both in India and internationally.

Renowned for her remarkable vocal range and her ability to adapt to complex compositions, Vani became a favored choice among composers across India from the nineteen seventies until the late nineteen nineties. She showcased her versatility by singing in a multitude of Indian languages, including Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Sanskrit, Gujarati, Haryanvi, Assamese, Tulu, Kashmiri, Bhojpuri, Marwari, Urdu, Konkani, Punjabi, and Bengali.

Vani's accolades are a testament to her talent; she was the youngest artist to receive the prestigious Sangeet Peet Samman and won the National Film Awards for Best Female Playback Singer three times.
