Vanja Udovičić

Vanja Udovičić, born on September twelfth, nineteen eighty-two, is a distinguished Serbian politician and former professional water polo player. He served as the Minister of Youth and Sports from two thousand thirteen to two thousand twenty-two, aligning himself with the Serbian Progressive Party while maintaining his status as an independent politician.

Throughout his impressive fifteen-season career in water polo, Udovičić showcased his talents with several prominent clubs, including Partizan Belgrade, Jadran Herceg Novi, Posillipo Naples, Pro Recco, Mladost Zagreb, and Radnički Kragujevac. His tenure at Pro Recco was particularly notable, where he celebrated two LEN Euroleague victories in two thousand eight and two thousand ten, contributing significantly to his team's success.

On the international stage, Udovičić's contributions to the Serbian national team are remarkable. He earned a gold medal at the European Championships for juniors in two thousand, followed by gold medals at the World Championships in two thousand five and two thousand nine. His European golds came in two thousand three, two thousand six, and two thousand twelve, while he also secured Olympic silver in two thousand four and bronze medals in two thousand eight and two thousand twelve.
