Vedran Runje

Vedran Runje, born on February tenth, nineteen seventy-six, is a distinguished Croatian retired footballer who made his mark as a goalkeeper. His football journey began at the Hajduk Split academy, where he honed his skills before embarking on a successful career abroad.

Runje's professional tenure saw him play for several prominent clubs, including Standard Liège in Belgium, Marseille and Lens in France, and Beşiktaş in Turkey. His time at Standard Liège was particularly noteworthy, as he earned three Belgian League Goalkeeper of the Year awards, showcasing his exceptional talent and dedication to the sport.

In addition to his club success, Runje proudly represented the Croatian national team, earning twenty-two caps. He was also part of the squad that competed in the UEFA Euro two thousand eight, further solidifying his legacy in Croatian football.
