Vera Poska-Grünthal

Vera Poska-Grünthal, born on March twenty-fifth, nineteen ninety-eight, was a prominent Estonian journalist and lawyer who made significant contributions to the feminist movement. Her dedication to enhancing the status of women and children was evident through her active involvement in various organizations and initiatives.

As one of the founders of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (IFWL), Vera played a crucial role in advocating for legal aid, legal literacy, and education programs aimed at empowering women. This International Non-Governmental Organization has been instrumental in promoting law reform and conducting research to improve the lives of women and children globally.

In addition to her advocacy work, Vera founded the Estonian-language journal Triinu in Sweden in nineteen fifty-two. She served as its editor until nineteen eighty-one, providing a platform for discussions on women's rights and issues pertinent to the Estonian community.
