Veronika Velez-Zuzulová, born on July fifteenth, nineteen eighty-four, in Bratislava, is a retired Slovak alpine ski racer renowned for her exceptional skills in slalom. She carved a niche for herself as one of the most successful Slovak alpine skiers, a title she held until the rise of Petra Vlhová.

Her journey in skiing began at the tender age of three, showcasing her talent early on. By the age of fourteen, she achieved a significant milestone by winning the Trofeo Topolino in Italy, an unofficial world championship for children, which marked the beginning of her illustrious career.

Throughout her career, Veronika was guided by her father, Timotej Zuzula, and coach Vladimír Kovár, who played pivotal roles in her development as an athlete. In April two thousand twelve, she married her coach, Romain Velez, adopting the name Velez-Zuzulová. However, their marriage ended in divorce in August two thousand twenty-two.

In a new chapter of her life, Veronika married Frenchman Gaspard Valette in September two thousand twenty-five, continuing to embrace change and growth beyond her skiing career.
