Vicente Amigo

Vicente Amigo, born on March twenty-fifth, nineteen sixty-seven, in Guadalcanal near Seville, is a distinguished Spanish flamenco guitarist and composer. His musical journey has been marked by a deep connection to the flamenco tradition, which he has both honored and innovated throughout his career.

Amigo has collaborated with some of the most revered flamenco singers, including the legendary Camarón de la Isla and Luis de Córdoba. His role as an accompanying guitarist has not only showcased his exceptional talent but has also contributed significantly to the richness of flamenco music.

In addition to his performance work, Vicente Amigo has made his mark as a producer, working with notable artists such as Remedios Amaya and José Mercé. His dedication to the genre has earned him critical acclaim, including the Latin Grammy Award for Best Flamenco Album in two thousand one for his album Ciudad de las Ideas, as well as the Ondas award for the best Flamenco work in two thousand two.
