Victor Glover

Victor Jerome Glover Jr., born on April 30, 1976, is a distinguished American naval officer, test pilot, and NASA astronaut, recognized as a member of the 2013 astronaut class. With a background as an F/A-18 pilot and a graduate of the United States Air Force Test Pilot School, Glover has made significant contributions to aerospace and space exploration.

In 2020, Glover achieved a historic milestone by piloting the first operational flight of SpaceX's Crew Dragon to the International Space Station. His role as a flight engineer on Expedition 64 marked him as the first Black American astronaut to live aboard the ISS, a groundbreaking achievement in the history of space travel.

Glover's journey continued to break barriers when he piloted the Artemis II mission in April 2026. This mission not only took him to the vicinity of the moon but also made him the first person of color to reach such a remarkable distance from Earth, solidifying his legacy as one of the four humans who have traveled the farthest from our planet.
